The new generation of AS-i safety monitors from Pepperl+Fuchs is now available with 16 OSSDs. Therewith it is easy to connect several AS-I strand and to implement complex functions. The configurations are easy to set up in the form of a flow diagram on a PC by simple using drag & drop. You can store the configuration on a SD card inside the monitor. The plaintext display shows the status over all OSSDs. The response time is max. 40 ms. It is not only possible to control safe inputs but also safe peripheral outputs. There are also combined devices (K31) available consisting of a Profibus gateway, a AS-I master and a safety monitor. With these high-end devices you can save space and assembly effort.
