In addition to our successful K12 safety monitor line Pepperl+Fuchs now offers some new types to support safe outputs. Safe outputs can be implemented on any position along the AS-I strand by simple connecting safe output modules. Several modules can be combined to a group and can be operated in the same time. When used in accordance with the requirements, AS-Interface safety monitors make it possible to operate sensor-controlled personal protection equipment and other safety components up to and including Category 4 in accordance with EN 954-1. The safety monitor is also responsible for the compulsory EMERGENCY OFF function of all non-manually controlled machines (Stop Category 0 or 1), dynamic monitoring of the restart function and the protection control function.
