After long years of experience in the field of motor-mounted frequency inverters, with the SK 200E NORD has launched a new series of devices, which enable a wide spectrum of solutions for decentralised drive technology.
Following several years of experience in the design and manufacture of motor-mounted frequency inverters, NORD has launched its SK 200E series which enable a wide spectrum of solutions for decentralised drive technology.
The new SK 200E frequency inverter series is designed to be mounted directly on the motor terminal box to create a combined, and fully integrated unit for use in the field. Similar to the SK 500E inverter series for control cabinet installation, which was launched two years ago, the new models provide a continuous range of performance and various a wide selection of optional features, which that greatly simplify the selection of models to suit the particular application.
SK 225E/SK 235E
The new SK 225E and SK 235E models are available with outputs from 0.25 to 7.5 kW. The inverters are designed for direct mounting on the motor terminal box, in order to create combined, and fully integrated drive units for use in the field. For AS-i wiring, only the yellow bus cable needs to be connected. These robust, reliable and economic systems are suitable for extensive large plant installations, e.g. conveyors, and were are specially optimised for price-sensitive market segments.
The decentralised inverters offer sensorless current vector control and include four digital inputs and a switching unit for an electromagnetic brake. Thanks to the plug-in EEPROM module, they can simply and rapidly exchange parameter settings with units of the same type. With their practical range of accessories equipment, which also includes incremental encoder evaluation and integrated POSICON positioning control, the drives can cater for a wide range of applications. LEDs display the status information directly on the device.
The SK 235E can also be equipped with the safety function “Safe Stop” in compliance with EN 954-1 or EN 13849-1 (up to the maximum safety category 4, Stop category 0 and 1) to protect the connected motor against restarting without switching off the power.
